No one’s going to be perfect, the problem is it’s really hard to get out of things. I recently reread a diary from when I was with Stephen and couldn’t believe how unhappy I obviously was but wasn’t aware of being because the momentum is always to stay in it. It’s scary and lonely to get out of it, even if you’re pretty sure there’s a way that you’ll be happier. That amount of pain prevents us from cutting the ties.
